I'll be the first to admit, I had never heard of Aventura Clothing before, but I am so glad that it found me! I was asked if I would like to sample a couple products from their new Adira line and their new Spring 2018 line. After looking at the lines, I immediately said, "Yes!" Let me tell you, just picking two items to sample was tough! There are so many cute things! Below is the Spring 2018 Line. Before I tell you about the dress I picked from the Spring 2018 line, let me share a little more about Aventura and why I feel like they are a company I can happily stand behind and support. They describe themselves as follows: "As a family owned and operated company based in the Sierra Nevadas, Aventura strives to engage in sustainable practices, using eco-friendly fabrics and Fair Trade Certified™ factories whenever possible. Aventura is also a partner of Uncommon Threads, an organization providing clothing for domestic violence survivors. Aventura donates clothing quarterly, helping women in need feel empowered. This Spring, Aventura is introducing several Fair Trade Certified™ styles including the Serafina Dress (far left above), an expanded athleisure line, Adira, and an extended plus-size collection." After reading that, I was definitely on board! Cute clothes AND supporting a great cause, how could I not want to support them?! After looking at the Spring 2018 over and over, I made the hard decision of picking the Avondale dress in Silver Lining. This dress is described as: "Perfect for work or play, the Avondale Dress made with a blend of organic cotton, modal and spandex is your go-to spring dress. This dress looks great on everyone and can be styled with different layers when you’re faced with a minimal amount of space while travelling. Bonus - it features on seam pockets!" The style is what originally caught my eye, but when I realized it had pockets, I was sold! I wore this dress causally running errands, taking the boys to the park, and I loved it! It was so comfortable and soft. The material isn't thin, but is breathable and kept me cool on a warm day. I also felt the cut is very flattering for all body types. I appreciated the length as well. It was long enough for me to run around the playground and not worry about flashing anyone, but still short enough to show off a little let (which if you've seen my running shorts, you know I'm a fan of). I also plan to dress this up a little with more jewelry and wedges and wear it to church, too. The second item I picked was from the Adira athleisure collection. This collection features poly/ spandex jersey blends, organic cotton/poly blends and plus-sized options that celebrate the strength of all women. The Adira line also embraces all aspects of athleisure. From crushing it at the gym to reading a book in the hammock, these styles are designed to transition seamlessly from active to casual, and beyond. The item I selected from the Adira line was the Tempo Hoodie in Violet Quartz. The Tempo Hoodie is descriped as: "Take on your next spin class or run in style in the Tempo Hoodie. This funnel neck pullover features a kangaroo pocket, drawstring hood, and the perfect amount of stretch to move with you." This is the softest hoodie I've ever worn and the color is gorgeous! It is perfect to throw on to and from a run, or as seen below, while taking the boys to the park to eat donuts. It has a flattering fit and stays put. I'm not having to constantly adjust it or pull it down. Also, the kangaroo pocket is another must have mom feature! Thank you Aventura for letting me try out these pieces of your Spring 2018 and Adira lines! I'm in love with them and will be ordering some other pieces very soon! Thanks for sharing such a informative blog! We are firmly into sweater season now – and colourful designs from ARG Knit’s and Aries meld on point colour combinations with next-gen silhouettes. Knitwear is the perfect gift too, if you’re unsure on someone’s clothing size. If in doubt, opt for a slightly over-sized fit, for a relaxed look that works as well with denim as slim leg pants.
